How to Create, Edit, and Assign Sales Tax

Overview

Karmasoft allows you to create unlimited sales tax rates and assign them to different products based on your local tax requirements. This ensures accurate sales reporting and compliance with your region’s policies.

Creating a New Sales Tax Rate

1. From your dashboard, go to Settings → Sales Tax.

2. Click + New.

   

3. Select your Branch.

4. Enter a Tax Name (e.g., State Tax, Local Tax).

5. Input the Tax Rate as a decimal (e.g., 0.07 for 7%).

6. Click Save.

Assigning a Sales Tax Rate to a Product

1. Open the product’s Basic Data screen.

2. Check the Sales Tax box.

3. Select the appropriate tax rate from the dropdown list.

4. Click Save.
